How to reach

Molino Carpinese is located in Tuscany (Italy ), 90 km from Florence and his airport.

There are two different routes for getting to the Molino Carpinese; the second of these is the longest, but has the reward of a fine panorama of the gentle Chianti hills with their precious vineyards.

1 Motorway A1 Valdarno
From the A1 motorway take the Valdarno exit, turn right for Montevarchi, before crossing the bridge over the Arno, at the API petrol station turn left for Levane. From Levane continue for Bucine, Ambra and Pietraviva. About 2 km after Pietraviva you come to a junction; turn left for Montebenichi. Before entering the medieval village of Montebenichi turn left along an unmade road leading downhill for approximately 1 km. When you see the roadside sign for the “Comune di Gaiole” go straight ahead along the unmade road to reach the Molino della Carpinese.

2 Motorway A1 Valdarno
From the A1 motorway take the Valdarno exit, whether you are coming from Rome or Florence; turn right for Montevarchi and follow the signs for Gaiole in Chianti, where you should stop and visit the town and taste the wonderful wine. Two kilometres after Gaiole in Chianti, turn left for Castagnoli-Monteluco. When you get te Monteluco (you can see the red RAI transmitters) turn right for San Vincenti (with its Romanesque church). After about 7km of unmade road, turn right at a junction; proceed for another kilometre to reach the Molino della Carpinese.
